Last year Toast Coffee Bar completed an amazing new project. Drop by and see the new decking at the front of the shop- a wonderful outdoor seating area where you can sip your latte in the dappled shade of beautiful trees surrounded by flower filled tubs! What could be nicer over the summer months? In the first six months lots of our customers tried it out and its attracting loads of compliments.
This development follows on from the initial opening of Toast in Sept 2013 when Linghams embarked on their exciting new venture with Allen and Emma Callaghan who were already running a thriving and vibrant cafe in West Kirby ( known to many of our customers), and who took over management of the Linghams coffee bar. As is now evident Allen and Emma have lots of great ideas for the cafe and are completely on board with the Linghams vision of being the cultural centre of the Heswall community .
There have been no changes to opening hours except that opening time on Tuesday is at 9am, not 9.30am.
The menu at Toast includes home-made soup, toasted sandwiches, baked potatoes with a variety of fillings and every type of coffee you can think of. There is also a wide variety of Tea Pigs in all sorts of exciting flavours.
Toast is serious about coffee; serving award-winning Ipanema – a Brazilian medium roasted 100% Arabica bean. Enjoy the friendly buzz with the flow of locals and book-lovers, while tucking into breakfast; perhaps a latte with porridge or the bacon toastie. The brie and cranberry panini is the ideal snack for ladies who book-browse before lunching.
Relax on a sofa, indulging in the ginger cake made by recent W I Chef of the Year – Yasmin Limbert, a slice of rocky road or tiffin. Alternatively, people-watch outside with an Oreo milkshake or a Cheshire Farm ice-cream.
And for those of you who were afraid the legendary Linghams milkshake might disappear – all we can say is taste and see what Toast have to offer!
